Things to See and to Do

Shell Beach Walk
This a lovely walk to a really interesting wee beach at the end of Pier Road. The road along the coast south from Tarbert is not busy and has very pleasant views across Loch Fyne. Wild Life abounds most days. The beach as it name suggests, covered in shells.
Tarbert Castle
The ancient ruins of Tarbert Castle sits on guard above the town. There are information boards at the castle which explain the history of the castle. A must visit in good weather in particular as the grounds of the castle commands excellent views of Tarbert Harbour and also across Loch Fyne.
White Shore Walk
This is about a 2 mile walk from the North end of the town through the woods to a lovely beach. There are other walks that are spurs from this walk with excellent views of Loch Fyne and plenty of woodlands.
Tarbert Golf Course
The golf course has a reputation for the friendliest course in Argyll. If there is nobody around when you play don't forget the honesty box.
Loch Fyne Diving
Loch Fyne Dive Charters are based in Tarbert on the west coast of Scotland. Loch Fyne has stunning and unspoilt dive sites suitable for all interests and experience levels, including pinnacles, wrecks and reefs, in a range of depths from ~10m to 50m+ There is abundant marine life, giving plenty of scope for keen underwater photographers. The sheltered waters of Loch Fyne mean there are usually good diving conditions and visibility all year round.
